WTR Group has acquired Water Processing Sweden AB ("WPS"), a Swedish supplier of water treatment solutions, mainly to industrial and municipal customers in Sweden.
WPS is a leading supplier in water treatment. Its focus is UV disinfection, filter solutions, and ion exchange and filter media for demanding water treatment applications. The range includes UV systems, UV lamps and filter solutions from leading international brands such as TrojanUV, VIQUA, Aquafides and Aquafine. The company was founded in 2001 and is headquartered in Nynäshamn, Sweden.
Its customers are mainly industrial companies and municipal water works with high demands on water quality. WPS has built a strong position in its niche. Stable recurring sales of consumables are complemented by larger UV systems and installation projects.
Per Samuelsson and Maria Laaksonen Samuelsson will keep their roles in the business after the acquisition. They say: "We see great joint opportunities to continue developing and growing WPS together with WTR Group and its group companies, and we look forward to working together."
